Timeline

2007

Office Fruit Group began as a small, family-run business founded by David and Danielle in Melbourne. With just one van, a cool room, and big dreams, David started each morning at 2am to handpick produce from local markets before returning home to pack, deliver, and manage orders. As the boxes began to fill their living room, one thing became clear: Melbourne workplaces were hungry for healthier, fresher options – and the journey was just beginning.

2008

The business quickly outgrew its home setup, moving into a small warehouse near the family home. With their first staff member and a second van on the road, demand kept growing as more offices embraced the idea of workplace wellbeing.

2009

As demand rose, so did complexity. Packing, scheduling and customer service became full-time jobs, but David and Danielle stayed grounded in their values of local sourcing, quality and care. Even through economic uncertainty, they refused to compromise.

2010

Facing the global financial downturn, David saw an opportunity to expand beyond fruit. By partnering with a local dairy, Office Fruit Group began delivering fresh milk alongside fruit, a perfect complement for workplaces that valued health and convenience.

Fourth van added to the fleet.

2011

As the business and family grew, so did the team. Danielle, expecting their fourth child, continued leading business development from home with the help of new staff, and her mother-in-law’s homemade delicacies.

Five vans strong.

2012

Office Fruit Group began giving back in new ways, recognising its responsibility to community and sustainability. Regular fruit donations to local charities began, alongside partnerships supporting employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Six vans strong.

2013

By now, Office Fruit Group had become Melbourne’s trusted name in workplace wellbeing. The company expanded into a larger warehouse near the CBD, uniting all teams under one roof and introducing Office Cakes for birthdays and celebrations – little touches that boosted morale and connection.

Seven vans strong.

2014

Rapid growth brought exciting change, including the appointment of Brett Stevenson as Chief Operating Officer. Brett’s leadership helped refine operations and strengthen systems while keeping the business’s heart firmly in family and community.

Ten vans strong.

2015

A major milestone: the launch of Office Fruit Group’s new updated website, making online ordering simple and accessible. The company also welcomed Brett’s golden retriever, the team’s unofficial morale officer, and continued expanding sustainable practices and fruit box options.

Eleven vans strong.

2016

Introducing Office Coffee, a new range of ethically sourced beans named after the founders’ children – a heartfelt nod to family roots. Each blend became a customer favourite, brewed with meaning in every cup.

2017

The business relocated to a new, purpose-built warehouse featuring state-of-the-art cool rooms to keep produce at peak freshness. Office Catering launched soon after, expanding the mission to bring health and wellbeing to every corner of the workplace.

2018

Office Fruit Group acquired Fruit Smart, another family-run business, strengthening its reach and maintaining the same personal touch both brands were known for. Together, they served more workplaces and supported more local growers than ever before.

2019

New partnerships with leading corporate food and tech platforms allowed seamless integration of ordering and delivery services, connecting Office Fruit Group with more workplaces across Australia.

2020

As the pandemic hit, the team adapted quickly. Home-delivered fruit boxes helped businesses care for remote staff and maintain connection during lockdowns. Enhanced safety measures, contactless deliveries and a focus on local growers kept the mission alive when wellbeing mattered more than ever…

2021

Expansion to Sydney!

What began as a smart response to the pandemic became a defining milestone. Office Fruit Group opened its Sydney warehouse, bringing fresh locally sourced fruit, milk, coffee, bread, panty and care to new workplaces across Sydney & NSW, while keeping every van on the road.

2022

Partnership with Eat Up the charity began. Who provide free lunches to students in need, now using Office Fruit Group’s warehouse for packing and storage along with the procurement of fresh fruit. Each week, thousands of children receive fresh fruit, snacks and sandwiches – a partnership that continues to grow.

2023

Launch of Office Fruit Group Hampers, beautifully curated gifts combining premium fruit and thoughtful extras for corporate occasions, client appreciation and team celebrations. Designed to help businesses show gratitude the healthy way.

2024

Collaboration with WINC brought the launch of our Pantry Range, offering snacks, beverages and breakroom staples, curated with the same care and quality as our fruit. The result: one trusted supplier for all your workplace essentials.

2025

A digital refresh for a modern business.

Office Fruit Group unveiled a brand-new website and real-time order tracking, making it easier than ever for workplaces to manage deliveries, plan ahead and enjoy complete transparency from order to door.
